Other Merchandise

If you have to own a piece of Big Trouble in Little China, here are your options, which I've compiled over the years:

Official Tee Shirts

Through an arrangement with a 20th Century Fox licensee, I was once able to sell official Big Trouble in Little China tee shirts and tanks. The shirts are all sold out now and the distributor sadly no longer holds the license to make more shirts...

Crew Jacket

Years ago I acquired an actual crew jacket worn during the filming of Big Trouble in Little China in 1985/1986.

Pork Chop Express Clock

At one time I acquired an unusual desk clock shaped like Jack Burton's Pork Chop Express, with the same Big Trouble in Little China logo from the crew jacket, and the message "As ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like this - thanks." with a signature (John Carpenter's?).

My guess is that this was given as a gift to the crew associated with the film. If anyone has any info on this item (including whose signature is on it), please contact me.

Dragon of the Black Pool Letterman Jacket

After many requests, I was able to track down the same type of letterman jacket style and color scheme worn by actor Dennis Dun as Wang Chi, and after applying an embroidery design inspired by the original, came up with a pretty nice quality replica jacket.

The Video Game

videogame

Released in the mid-eighties, this action-fighting game lets you guide Jack Burton, Wang, and Egg Shen through the streets of Chinatown and into Lo Pan's domain, battling the Storms along the way. Now, through the magic of of a C64 emulator (which turns your PC into a C64) you can download and play the game right now! (Note: May not work on newer Windows systems)

The Screenplay

The Big Trouble in Little China Screenplay by W.D. Richter is a 125 page script that contains:

- Missing Storm lines
- Missing Miao Yin scenes and lines
- Extra Jack Burton monologues
- An even less serious tone than the existing film
- Explanations regarding the conflicts between the Bing Kong (Wing Kong) and Suey Sings (Blue Turbans)
- A different and less satisfying ending
