I have to agree with Mike. Nothing in the film bothers me. We all have enough mental acuity to point out the seams, but keep in mind the time, and budget involved. There are several flaws by todays standards, but the overall spirit of the film outshines them all. I watch the film 4 or 5 times a year, and the child-like excitement I felt when I first saw the film has yet to diminish. There are countless movies I loved as a child, but so very few have stood the test of time. Most all John Carpenter movies do in my book. Very Happy

I still think John, Kurt, Kim, Dennis & Co. could pull off a sequel. Just as long as John could manage to keep the damned Hollywood Wisdom Club out of the mix. They always manage to screw things up, and I would rather do without a sequel than have anyone but John steering the ship.

There's always one thing I have trouble with...

The supposed "romance" between Margo and Eddie.

There is nothing between the two in the events leading up to the whole "he's got a crush on you" revelation.

It just seems awkward and contrived, although my theory is that the film had to be cut down (as you do) and any hints had to be taken out.

The final product seems a little out of place, but hey, one rotten apple doesn't spoil the whole barrel, aight?

One problem... Jack Burton would have gray hair, and Gracie Law would have wrinkles... Confused Big Trouble in Little China 2: Aging...

There is one part in the movie that I have to skip over everytime! That is when the Storms are using their martial arts hypnosis to get the two girls to tame the burning blade. The scene itself is not bad, but couldn't they've edited it down a little more!? It seems like Thunder goes on for freakin forever!

one part seems kinda sluggish to me... maybe feels a little forced, but it's when wang and jack are locked in the steel room (that's probably welded shut and coverd with brick by now) and wang does the explaining about myths and legends. Just doesn't seem to flow imho.

plus can you imagine how much it would suck to be a lord of death having to wheel some one all the way up that ramp?

Hi gang. For myself, its definitely the part where thunder blows up. You can tell its pieces of rubber. How can anyone disagree? That is by far the cheesiest. Even when hes expanding its really silly. The steam coming out of his nose. Don't get me wrong though. You wont find a bigger BTLC fan anywhere. And yes I do own the Wang Chi version of the jacket from this website. That should put me at elite wing kong status alone.

These opinions are incredibly varied. But I think if everyone would remember the thunder exploding part, they would change there answer. Everyone on this forum has tried to convert another non believer to BTLC at least once. And does this part not get laughs in a bad way every time. If only George Lucas could digitally remaster for us ... j/k. I don't want to take a chance of there being a Jar Jar binks character thrown in.

Oops, sorry about the word censor- you can't say the word "w ow", because spammers were using it to promote pornographical materials. Just put a space between somewhere and you'll be fine- You won't be banned! Wink

And to stay on topic, Lucas needs to be booted in the head- or at least stop surrounding himself with "yes" men... Rolling Eyes
