| That might be one of the dumbest things I have ever seen in a film. Why is superman being thrown through the air? Doesn't he fly? |

I am cautiously optimistic. I really want it to be good. But Hollywood is so good at screwing up anything they touch.
Trailer looks awesome. |

Re: Superman--
He originally couldn't fly, he could just jump really really high-- it eventually became throwing himself at the ground and missing, I think. |

Ah, a Douglas Adams reference!
Well played, Miang. Well played! |

Douglas Adams is a genius.
Yes, the original superman could only "leap tall buildings in a single bound".
But that did not last long at all. By the time this movie was made he had been flying for decades. |

Ok. Got a chance to look at the video...
Middle of a fight. Supes didn't expect to be thrown-- so he's not in control of the flight path. Kinda like if you were walking, and someone suddenly shoved you. You know how to walk, but it's just going to take you a few minutes to straighten up.
Other than that, I do agree that it's a really silly and pretty pointless scene. . . and now I know not to watch Superman IV.
Tron: Legacy, however...
Why isn't it December yet? |

oh, watching Superman 4 would be a huge mistake. It takes horrible to a new level.
As for walking, I have never taking a few minutes, let alone a few seconds, to stop a stumble in my life. It's a step, maybe two. And we are talking about flight, an omni directional mode of travel. I don't give any pass here. He is in the air for like 10 seconds. He would have easily been able to stop himself with his flight and turn back. That video makes no sense.
Not to mention the senseless property damage he does. Isn't he supposed to be a superhero? |

| That comic wasn't great, but it was a darn funny premise. |
